😂 wild I'm in Texas too (Houston) but yeah I get it. The Bible belt mentality really ...sucks?
I never approach a religious spat but if it comes to me, my default is to ask them what they spend their money on and why don't they support more missionaries. That usually shuts them up.

Christian here who grew up and stayed in church. Hyper Christians annoy me but you've got them pegged. Arguing isn't worth the breath. Keep the peace and if they won't, do as the Bible says, 'Shake the dust off your feet and leave.'
