Goals galore in the #ChampionsLeague this morning, but the most impressive result imho came at the Emirates.

Beating a Diego Simeone side 4-0 takes some doing, and #Gyokeres scoring 2 is significant.

If the Gunners can get him firing they could be unstoppable..

These match stats are damning for #WestHam , pointing out how they not only lost at home to #Brentford this morning, but got totally outplayed too.

Not a good look for new boss Nuno Esposito, as his #Hammers remain in bottom three. Brentford’s win takes them up to 13th..

#Liverpool fell to their 4th consecutive loss in all comps this morning, as #ManUtd won at Anfield for the first time since 2016.

The champions lost just 4 times in the League all last season - they have now lost 3 of their first 8 games this term..

So what in recent days seemed inevitable finally happened.

39 days is too short in any job, but this seemed a bad decision by both sides from the start.

Hope #Ange has success elsewhere, but don’t think he’ll coach in England again..

Club captain Ryan Yates, leading goalscorer Chris Wood & winger Callum Hudson-Odoi all out of starting XI.

Big Ange has some serious work to do to win over the Forest faithful it seems..

Bizarre post match press conference from #MacarthurFC boss Mile #Sterjovski last night, who had this to say after his team’s 1-0 loss:

“There was a lot of time wasting. For a first home match in front of your home fans - i didn’t expect that.”

Agreed. I was at the presser yesterday and to be fair to Valkanis he was emphasizing attacking play and a high press off the ball mainly.

With Tony #Popovic ‘s unbeaten run as #Socceroos coach coming to an end yesterday, it’s worth considering what the Aussies learnt in defeat to USA.

So the first weekend of the new #AustralianChampionship is now complete - what did we learn?

Melbourne’s 4 clubs went unbeaten, mixed results for Sydney sides & Brisbane’s sole representative won away.

Long way to go yet, with 5 more weekends of the Group stage to play..

A good win for #Socceroos yesterday, beating #Canada 1-0 in Montreal to extend their unbeaten run under coach Tony Popovic.

The Aussies rode their luck in a nervy first half, but #Irankunda & #Toure ‘s pace were a threat after the break to get the win..
