i feel like mario rpg-style action commands have been adopted in quite a few turn-based rpgs but the press turn system from smt seems pretty much confined to the smt series. is this like a trademark thing or something or does anyone know other games that have press turns?

all my childhood i wanted to dress up and go out for halloween but mum wouldn't let me because 'it's not an australian holiday' (btw we celebrated easter and christmas despite not being religious)

don't like the new youtube ui making it so I can only add a video to or remove a video from a playlist once before the playlist editor thing closes so i have to keep opening it if i want to say move a video from watch later to favourites

ok yeah it wasn't changed in localisation. which I expected since it's the in-game explanation for the main collectable, but also it's a very good example of something that comes off differently to people from the culture being depicted (although I'm not American either lol)
actually what am i talking about i can just change the game language rq and check
(I'm playing in Japanese so idk if this got localised differently)

started playing Another Code today and something that really stands out to me is the in-game anecdote of an American scientist guy learning from his Japanese wife what a paper crane is and how to make one and that people make a bunch and use them to wish for good health and all

I just have to write a small script and then deliver a presentation in a few weeks and I'll have finished my first year of school in 18 years! last year that I finished was year 2 at 7yo and I'm 25 now. feels weird but it's nice to know I can do it
