Everyone is up in arms about the harm that AI (et al) is doing. I'm unconcerned. When our infrastructure breaks down, and it will, we won't be able to use any of that stuff anyway and will be forced to figure out how to survive.

I think I'll go back to reading The Heartbeat of Wounded Knee by David Treuer. It feels like the country lasted as long as it did as long as we had an 'other' to dominate, and now that we don't, that part of 'us' is eating the other part.
