If I ever have to be identified from skeletal remains, you won’t need dental records. A look at my right clavicle should do it.

Ride your bike long enough and you’ll pop a clavicle. Or maybe two.

My wife designs flowers for weddings. Calla lillies that last week were $20-$23 per pack are now $30 from the wholesaler. Reason: tariffs. Consumers need to get ready for an inflation explosion.

Here in Florida, the Gulf of Mexico is an important part of life. We have Gulf beaches, Gulf hurricanes, Gulf tides, and all sorts of other things. I will never again refer simply to the “Gulf.” From now on, we have Gulf of Mexico beaches, Gulf of Mexico hurricanes, and Gulf of Mexico tides.

The most useful class I ever had at judges’ school was a class about recognizing implicit bias. Probably it qualified as a DEI class. It taught me to slow down when making decisions and don’t jump to easy conclusions. It’s not about racial bias, it’s any sort of bias -

My ancient rolling pin broke while rolling out the apple pie crust. Now there are ball bearings imbedded in the crust. Tough on the old molars.

I’ve not seen the movie yet and it was years ago that I saw the play, but I never realized Elphaba was green. For those of us who are differently-color abled, details like that tend to slip past us. Color is an artificial social construct created by The Man to keep a brutha down.

This is a pre-dawn Falcon 9 launch from August 8 this year as seen from Fox Lake Park in Titusville. Predawn launches are the best.

This is my first blue sky post after moving over from the other place. I’m into rocket launches, given that KSC launches rattle my windows day and night. Here’s a photo from a predawn launch during an early bike ride this summer:
