Its the first in a long line of interconnected lore and story bits that will link in with each other over 3 series (25 novellas 'Curiosities series', 4 dark epic fantasy novels 'Order of the Eldritch series', and about 10 bardic tales/heist novels 'Velvet Tongue Ballads series'), as I publish them.

Yes, all of those things. I'm glad that it made you think about what you read. It was suppose to. I'm sorry that the story didn't resonate with you, but it wont with everyone.

I recently got a 3-star review that said they pondered on the story, but they didn't resonate with the story. In it, they also realized the story was narrated by the shopkeeper the whole time and that the challenges were more introspection than actual events.

yeah, it's definitely a learning experience. As long as we learn from those early mistakes, we hopefully wont make them again. or it'll be easier next time.

Thanks, I actually published my first novella for a series a little over a month ago. I'm working on two other novels (with their own series) at the moment. Full time everything, find the time to write when I can.
