I still owe you the result of my baking challenge. I had a lot of fun to put together this small memorial cake for my cat, who passed away 3 years ago.

Had some trouble with the fondant, but in the end it turned out extremely tasty. 🥰

Since January I also stream the development of my game #CozyCatissery live on twitch. I try to be live at least once a week.

On Saturday, however, the ingame kitchen stays cold and I will try to bake a 3D cake by myself within 5 hours.

Started to play around with Unity's UI Toolkit a little, to create a simple main menu for #CozyCatissery.
Now I'm really hyped on how easy it was and how good and clean it looks. Will try to create a basic game UI tomorrow.

The last months were pretty quiet, as I needed to figure out how to proceed on my #gamedev journey.

I put my former project on hold, as it was getting to complex to quickly.

Now I feel comfortable to announce, that I'm working on a new game together with @atakji.bsky.social

This one didn't age so well... still waiting. Almost took two years now, since we signed the contract.
But finally on Wednesday we have an appointment fof the activation.

From time to time, I love throwin' some darts, to relax from my dayjob and in case I struggle with all the #gamedev stuff.

So, as a little side project, I built my own cabinet, to hide the board when I'm not playing.

Helps me to think, doing something analog.

I had the serious goal to release my game within 2024. But I'm just realizing, that I still have too much to learn to do so.
Therefore I will take two steps back now to write a decent #GDD and use this as a base for my learning requirements.

In the last weeks, I was struggling to make some real progress on my game. It's still so much to do, that I was afraid to lose track.

So now, I took a step back from coding to work on a #blender course. Hopefully, I can work on new assets soon.

How do you organize your week, when working on a project? Do you allocate specific tasks for a day, like mon-tue - art; wed-thu - coding; fri-sat - organizational stuff... or do you just check, what's next and do it?

Had a very stressful week, so I didn't make much progress on #Overgrown. But at least I managed some organizational stuff, like financials and taxes. So many hats to wear as a #solodev.

Making progress without making progress is the weirdest experience I had so far in the development of my game.

Since two weeks I only worked on general stuff like saving, localization and a random spawn. Good stuff though, but still the game is unplayable.

#Day8 is s tricky one, as I have a couple of games, starting with H on my list.
First things first... Hollow Night: Awesome Gameplay. Great atmosphere and a pinch if darkness. I have really no idea, why I rarely touched that game...

I'm still a bit stuck with my game assets. Pretty unhappy with everything I create in #blender. Maybe I'm not patient enough. But luckily I got my hands on a bunch of #Synty assets via #humblebundle. So I should make huge progress in regards to game features.

Almost forgot #day7... it's letter G with God of War: Ragnarök... such a great game and a real pity, that I didn't finish it yet. Got around 50% done. But got stuck in different priorities since. Still have it installed on my playstation. Will try to finish it soon. #pileofshame

So, it's #Day6 and it's the letter F: for sure the newest member on my list is #FF7Rebirth ... but as I just started with the game, it's not a fair call...
But truth is, that in #FFXVI I never got out of town. I hope, to get back to it, after I finish Rebirth.

Trying to work on my game every day for at least some minutes often leads to 1-2 hours of focused programming, while completely forgetting the time. It's crazy, how motivating some progress can be.
