What big tech employees are facing now is a delayed effect of the failure to respond to the devastation of local IT. IT is to tech what the long list of credits after the actors is to TV and movies. Or was.

There's a parallel universe where big tech had a long tradition of unions like Hollywood and dealing with this was a matter of striking when negotiations inevitably failed to get similarly favorable provisions for dealing with the same tech.

Star Trek The Next Generation scene. The Enterprise D gang is in Ten Forward standing around a beautifully decorated banquet table adorned with exotic flowers and lots of food. Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.

Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.

It's literally never been more important.

Blender 5 gives us a new Array modifier and with it, the ability to easily place objects as instances along a Curve. Previously, it was done using a combination of Array and Curve modifiers, but it would deform the instances unless you used a workaround. #Blender #b3d #Blender3d
