Oh so you're going to commit to signing the extension in October? No? Oh okay...
February 5, 2026 at 8:30 PM
This deadline has accomplished nothing in terms of either convincing Giannis you're trying to win, or putting yourselves in a position to lose games and get a high pick. Both of which were apparently stated goals.
February 5, 2026 at 8:14 PM
I still have zero clue what the plan is for this front office. Are you tanking? Are you trying to win? What are we trying to accomplish?
February 5, 2026 at 8:07 PM
Well I guess that's the deadline.... Nothing really accomplished one way or the other.
February 5, 2026 at 7:59 PM
Okay. Not bad. Probably means no Bobby trade though.
The Bucks and Suns have expanded this to a three-team deal to include the Chicago Bulls: Ousmane Dieng to Milwaukee and Nick Richards to Chicago, sources said.
February 5, 2026 at 7:41 PM
Choosing to continue to employ Bobby Portis for all this time is just not defensible.
February 5, 2026 at 7:33 PM
It is going to be very funny if the Pacers fall out of the top 4.
February 5, 2026 at 7:29 PM
With Boston getting Tatum back, Indiana doing what they're doing, the Knicks being what they are, the idea that the Bucks are actually going to be able to contend with whatever they can scrape together to put around Giannis doesn't feel very realistic.
February 5, 2026 at 7:16 PM
Indiana is going to be a big problem with Zubac coming in, Haliburton coming back, and a top 5 pick coming in.
February 5, 2026 at 7:13 PM
So the Bucks goals were to get picks back to take contracts or make a move to help convince Giannis to stay and with an hour left they've done neither of those things.
February 5, 2026 at 7:01 PM
So how are we feeling if that's the only Bucks move?
February 5, 2026 at 6:01 PM
Push for the postseason? Oh man, we're so cooked. 😂
February 5, 2026 at 5:52 PM
So to summarize.

1) The Bucks take on more salary.

2) Help Phoenix get under the tax.

3) Trade two guys who are better than the two they got back.

4) And get nothing out of the deal.

I'm confused about this one.
February 5, 2026 at 5:22 PM
So we're just helping Phoenix out?
February 5, 2026 at 5:13 PM
Shams saying the Bucks are pivoting to "small salary trades". So looks like Bobby is staying if that's true.
February 5, 2026 at 5:11 PM
Are the Bucks just getting nothing for doing them this favor?
The Phoenix Suns are trading Nick Richards and Nigel Hayes-Davis to the Milwaukee Bucks for Cole Anthony and Amir Coffey, league sources confirm. First reported by ESPN. This deal helps the Suns duck below the luxury tax, which was a goal for the franchise going into the deadline.
February 5, 2026 at 5:08 PM
Bucks are taking on about $2.5 million in salary here.
February 5, 2026 at 5:07 PM
Well that's that. We'll see how it works out for them.
The Milwaukee Bucks have indicated to teams that they are keeping Giannis Antetokounmpo through the trade deadline and will start making other trades, sources tell ESPN.
February 5, 2026 at 5:02 PM
I kind of admire the Bulls' tanking strategy of just having the most ridiculously mismatched roster possible. Sure, roster 13 guards. Why not?
February 5, 2026 at 4:09 PM
So Windhorst says Minnesota is out on Giannis but Miami is still trying to improve their offer. It would certainly be funny if the Bucks swoop in for Ja while Miami is preoccupied. That fanbase is on life support as it is.
February 5, 2026 at 3:29 PM
So it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that if the Wolves hadn't made the Dillingham trade and the Heat hadn't made the Rozier trade Giannis could have been on either one of their teams today....
February 5, 2026 at 3:18 PM
A tanking Bulls team is just one more the Bucks will have to jockey with for lottery position. There's a difference between actively trying to lose and what the Bucks are doing. That's probably going to keep their pick relatively low.
February 5, 2026 at 3:04 PM
I don't know why I'm getting tht feeling that we're really not going to see the Bucks do anything today, but that's the feeling I'm getting. Was that Bobby injury real? Looking good in those last two wins may have been the worst thing that could have happened.
February 5, 2026 at 2:36 PM
Now that no Giannis trade appears to be happening I have a couple fears about the rest of this season.

1) He absolutely can't get hurt. That means no Doc keeping him out there to win meaningless games. Keep him out as long as possible and when he does come back keep a heavy minutes restriction.
February 5, 2026 at 2:11 PM
Not trading Giannis is a big risk. He should be held out as long as possible and be on an aggressive minutes restriction for the rest of the season. You're also handing him all the leverage to pick his destination. It has the potential to blow up in your face big time.
