update on this: talked to someone on the phone and they acknowledged that someone in billing made a mistake, and it was supposed to be $120 for a diagnostic, and I was supposed to get a bill in september. I would have considered that reasonable had that happened.
$120 is still a lot for me.

I just got a bill from one of the palces that came out to look at my AC last summer with 3 months of late fees but A: they didn't do anything and B: this is the first bill they sent me
