The best thing of learning 2 crafts in the same time frame is that when I get frustrated with one I can switch to the other one.
Here I am practicing Burano needle lace and getting the hang of it. This is "sacolà fissa" stitch,

I like to use my worsted wool scraps to make hats for charity. These two groups were both sent to Wool-Aid. #showmeyourknits #knitting #knitsky Details in the alt.

No particular pattern was used for these, I've made so many charity hats that I can do it on auto-pilot. The striping technique is called helix stripes, and there are many various tutorials to be found via google &/or youtube.
