Everyone deserves to have their basic needs met, but I think that's another issue altogether.

They provide a valuable service to the greater population. In some cases they bring attention to issues that would otherwise be ignored. Given the state of the world I think their ability to create and share is desperately needed. If they're surviving it's unlikely they have time for their craft.

I suspect you aren't a fan of the arts, or aware/care about how difficult it is to be an artist. The costs were offset by a boost in audience engagement with the arts, increased tax generation, a reduction in social welfare payments, and improved psychological wellbeing for participants. That's why.

So, heads up for anyone who uses East Coast Credit Union: when they do their system upgrades over the weekend, you will lose all of your e-transfer contacts and bill account numbers. They suggest taking a screen shot or printing it off if you’re on a computer before the system goes down.
