This year’s warm weather has triggered a ‘mast year’, when trees and shrubs produce an unusually large crop of fruits and nuts like acorns, conkers, and berries.

Waxcap Watch is back! 🍄👀

Waxcaps are a sign of rare, species-rich grassland, and spotting them helps to identify and protect surviving ancient meadows.

They usually appear in late summer and autumn and are most often found in grasslands and meadows.
