It was the night that it almost wasn't.
The clouds were just too thick. There was no point in going out there. Walking down the pitch Black trail. Climbing over rocks.
What would be the point?
And then I started taking pictures!
The first showed a glow. Then the clouds opened up!

On that morning, there were some exceptionally dramatic clouds over Lake Tahoe. The light broke through some distant opening, and cast a light on Mt. Tallac and the Desolation Wilderness.
The air was Frigid, the wind was cold. I was the only one out there...
