An account to talk about the Lakers. I am definitely biased but I try to be realistic and friendly about all things Lakers and NBA related.

I still feel Vando is the guy they should try to make work but I see the vision with Gabe. Gabe is a stabilizing piece on any unit. Makes smart decisions, plays hard and has nice chemistry with Luka
RJ played pretty well I thought. I hope he will be on South Bay.
And that was with AR having one of the worst games I have ever seen him play. Only thing that was a little concerning was just how disconnected Luka and Ayton are. I am hopeful they will figure it out, but appears it might take some time
Biggest takeaway from this game was how good Smart looked. He was moving so well. I was a bit worried after the first game but he looked like Marcus Smart tonight.
Great stuff from Marcus Smart in this third quarter. Off the dribble, he got his own bucket inside, then on the other side of the floor, he dove for the ball and forced a turnover. The Lakers are ahead of the Kings 90-86 after three quarters of play.
So true haha. I definitely have Vando in the starting lineup for the season. His strengths defense/rebounding are exactly the week spots with a Luka/AR/Rui lineup might have. I love those three, but yeah
We will see how they do on the boards. I like the lineup but that would be the area of concern for me. And defense of course haha. Not that Gabe is a bad defender, just very undersized in many switches. For a team that switches everything, that can become an issue
It really is. I wonder if it is because of the injury. I do like Gabe, I think he has some good chemistry with Luka. That first OKC in the back to back last year, Gabe and Luka were so in sync!
I don't know, you have some very well-rounded players. Barnes is a bit of a wildcard. He had such a weird season last year, but he was on a nice trajectory before that.
they aren't good individual defenders, but when things get chaotic, they both have very good instincts. Luka timing the passes and Reaves drawing charges etc.
so fun to imagine lineups with Luka/AR as the back court. But need that defensive piece to get the most out of that pairing. I still think you have to switch almost everything, because Vando is too big to navigate screens but he will cause so much chaos. And Luka, AR feed on that chaos defensively.
And sticks with it haha. I could see it being frustrating with Vando on offense to start, but I feel he is the type of player that repetition and comfort go a long way. Let him feel out some games to find his place. The ceiling he gives them on defense and rebounding is too high to not try
Luka, AR, Vando, Rui and Ayton would be my pick. Really excited for that lineup
With the Lakers having every main player available minus LeBron, Bronny and Adou, who should start in tonight’s final preseason game?
Looks pretty strong to me!
Based on the reporting from some beat writers, sounding like the starting lineup, while Bron is out, will be AR, Luka, Vando, Rui and Ayton. If so second unit likely Gabe, Smart, Jake, Hayes and one of AR/Luka staggered. Very strong 9 man rotation imo. I think/hope they can hold it down without Bron
He hasn't shot well in preseason but I have been very encouraged with LaRavia. He moves so well for his size. Not just moves well but extremely active off the ball.
Yep. And it isn't really a role they have a lot of reps with. So it is more or less expected. Although I do think it is fair to say he isn't an above the rim player like Hayes. He will get a lot of lobs but I am not sure I would run a PNR with that as the primary option with Ayton
Really liked Ayton's approach tonight. Wasn't forcing but took the shots that were there. The PNR is rough, but that takes two. Luka is an elite PNR player. Bron is as well. AR is more used to being the guy setting a screen for a switch than being the player initiating.
getting smacked while sitting AR, Luka and Bron is more or less a planned outcome I suppose haha
Pretty rough game. At least AR looks ready haha. At least JJ will have a lot of film to show them how to not play defense
Thank goodness it is preseason, pretty rough game for everyone not named AR
The Lakers trail the Suns 75-53 with under five minutes left in the third.
Oh wow, thank you, that is a lot less! Love Rui but at that price it is getting complicated
So if they keep both AR and Rui cap holds they have around 36 million in space?
Kind of crazy how many players will be making more than Luka. Doesn't make sense that is his max when he is the youngest player ever to have five All-NBA First Team selections
