🏳️‍⚧️ CASE VICTORY: Yesterday, a Louisiana district court denied the state’s motion to dismiss Soe v. Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners––our challenge against Louisiana’s ban on gender-affirming care for trans youth––allowing the case to proceed to trial.

Today, SCOTUS held oral arguments in two landmark cases–West Virginia v. B.P.J. and Little v. Hecox–challenging state laws banning trans youth from participating in school sports.

The military argues that HIV-positive service members pose significant financial and logistical burdens, while advocates argue the concerns are outdated thanks to modern science.

Today, Lambda Legal attorneys appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit to argue Anderson v. Crouch–a case challenging West Virginia’s exclusion of gender-affirming medical care for trans adults under the state’s Medicaid program.
