I've been experimenting with making metal armatures, bunging lumps of air dry clay onto them then wrapping it all in modroc

Heh, thanks so much! Under the gold paint it's 1970s black plastic possibly from a garden centre way back then. Making a marching gargoyle is a great idea! 😁
