I’d be real hesitant to use any oil/petroleum based spray. Get a pure air high pressure spray (like they use for computer keyboards) and try that first. It’s amazing how a little dust can cut out a switch. I’m no expert, but it’s worked for me on guitars that don’t get a ton of playing.

Music is in the ear of the beholder and I personally believe that live music might be the only true social fabric. That said, (for me) there’s only so many times you can spin the same bar chords, the same guitar effects and the same thoughtless lyrics without getting resentment. They’re not deep.
