I don't have a competitive nature. I sublated that drive into a higher-order social function that forces me to make people laugh at my jokes. because on some level laughing at me is you losing at the game of "being around me".

linguists say that a zipfian distribution isn't sufficient to prove something is a language because city sizes follow the same distribution but have we considered that cities are actually a language? food for thought.
