I thought the term "grandfathering" was very contraintuitive considering the context of climate mitigation: keeping the distribution of emissions by countries constant. For me, a grandfather is a caring figure.

2. Then rule out CO2 pricing because it would make things unaffordable

German Conservatives call for ditching the 2035 phaseout of fossil fuel vehicle sales, arguing that we (will) price CO2 with ETS2, so no other measure is needed

But the minute ETS2 starts in 2027 and makes fuel more expensive, they *will* campaign against it, mark my words

I've worked in climate mitigation scenarios for a year. I don't understand how can I be a functioning human knowing how extremely hard is to reach carbon budgets. And even more impossible with the current everyday reality, policies and public opinion. I must be completely dissociated.

A very short "literature review" explaining in detail the different versions of the model and references of the documents with detailed methods for each version.

I think we should think about a way to present the differences between similar papers using the same method by the same author/different versions of a model. Like the literature reviews in the intro do this kind of work but sometimes it is not really complete and it is nice to have a general picture
