After reading Barry Hertz's comprehensive history of the FAST & FURIOUS franchise, "Welcome to the Family," I decided to finally watch FAST X. Man, you can see Vin Diesel sucking the remaining joy out of these movies in real time

After reading Barry Hertz's comprehensive history of the FAST & FURIOUS franchise, "Welcome to the Family," I decided to finally watch FAST X. Man, you can see Vin Diesel sucking the remaining joy out of these movies in real time

Finally worked up the strength of watch THE LIFE OF CHUCK again. It's joined INTERSTELLAR in my personal canon of movies that can absolutely destroy me with their soundtrack alone. It's a fucking masterpiece, full of more raw humanity than anything else I've seen this year
Caught a noon screening of LIFE OF CHUCK and it's hard to imagine seeing a better movie this year. What @mikeflanaganfilm.com and co managed to put on screen is nothing short of a miracle: beautiful, kind, hopeful, aspirational. See it as soon as you can

Artists doing stadium tours are wild - "spend $400 now on tickets you won't use for 11 months, otherwise it'll cost you 2-3x face value." No, man. I don't think I'm gonna do either of those things

Everyone who gets into things like Oujia boards, channeling, or anything else that involves messages from what they think are spirits should read this book first. An incredible read
Just re-read_The Siren Call of Hungry Ghosts_ by Joe Fisher on a impulse, and man, that's a great and frightening book. If you have any interest in the #paranormal at all, it's a must read.

Found a bootleg copy of the 1988 TV movie I SAW WHAT YOU DID. It's frankly better than some theatrical releases I've seen lately and makes me wish even more that Vinegar Syndrome's TELEVISED TERRORS boxset had sold well enough to warrant a second volume

Watched @realgdt.bsky.social's FRANKENSTEIN last night and while obviously wonderful, what'll keep me going back is how he used a 200yr old horror story to show me my life, my old man's life, and that of every other son born to indifferent, absent fathers who then had to choose between life or rage

If you can catch LURKER on the big screen before it hits Mubi on Oct 10th, I suggest you do so. There's something about not being able to turn away from all the starfucker awkwardness that makes it the kind of experience you can't replicate on TV. Truly a hell of a movie
