Rates of most distress measures peaked during the COVID years (2020-21). The proportion of teens repetitively self-harming did not return to pre-COVID levels, unlike other measures of distress.

Our new study on the prevalence of psychological distress among adolescents in Ireland is out.

💻 Does Cybervictimisation contribute to poor mental health in young people?
In our new paper in the @lancetchildadol.bsky.social, led by Dr Frédéric Thériault-Couture, we found that 1 in 5 young people were cybervictimised during adolescence, and it contributed to anxiety.
