We got this cat cave from the Dragon Quest Island in Japan. Hera is still a but suspicious of it but will almost certainly make it a future sleeping spot

Met a legend yesterday

A large, life-sized model of the witch Yubaba from the movie Spirited Away. She is writing at her desk. Her nails have bright red polish in them. Her fingers are adorned in rings with large gems in various bright colours. Pages with writing in Japanese hang around her, suspended by thin ropes, creating the illusion that they are flying around the room by themselves. A large, ornate vase with flower and leaf patterns in them (red and purple flowers on white background, gold leaves on red background) sits beside Yubaba to her right. Her desk is covered in various clutter including a bright red pot for pen ink, books, and bottles of potions.

My husband (somewhat) enthusiastically did the DQ Island quest on Awaji with me! He even did all the side quest stuff and didn’t complain once even though we spent two hours running around in humidity! Here’s some cute monsters from the park!

We are ok by the way - the earthquakes have all been mild. Just surprising. In other news, here’s some beautiful autumn leaves we saw in rural Japan

On my honeymoon in Japan and I know it’s very touristy but we went to teamLab Borderless and it was honestly a transcendent experience. I loved it. Highly recommend.

Yesterday I got married to my partner of 10 (almost 11) years. We celebrated with all of our close friends and family. We are very happy. Also, we are very private people so in lieu of photos please enjoy these paintings of us from an illustrator at our wedding

It is really disappointing (but also not entirely surprising) that Pixel Sprout Studios, the team behind Sun Haven, failed to adequately pay its artists and committed a multitude of other abuses. youtu.be/bKcrEMAEUBc?... worth a watch - and maybe consider putting your money elsewhere. Yikes.
