Remembering when Ant ripped the Clips for their age a couple of years ago. Clips looked spry and youthful, including Grandpa Kawhi.
Final: Clippers 115, Timberwolves 96. Don’t shovel dirt on this team yet. Kawhi Leonard’s 41-point outburst was his 31st consecutive 20-point outing. Clippers (25-27) get what might be their best win of season -- this was a potential schedule loss. Up next: at Houston on Tuesday.

Clippers have an absolutely brutal schedule in February, but the stretch run is favorable. A realistic outcome is 6-5 in February (already 1-0), 12-6 in March, and 4-2 in April (particularly with some teams like SA/OKC maybe mocked by then). That gets them to 44-38. I’d take that.

35-20 in last 55 seemed maybe…optimistic. But now we’re looking at 23-18 in the second half to get to .500, and 24-17 to extend the NBA’s longest active consecutive winning season streak to 15, I believe. The unthinkable is now…thinkable!
It’s January. No one should be too concerned with standings watch on this side of the All-Star break. Got another three months to play. Teams should just be concerned with handling their own business and running their own race

I can handle the Clippers having a sub .250 record. We’ve been there before. But what was the point of this? This — unceremoniously jettisoning arguably the greatest Clipper ever in a pointless season — is the kind of thing that challenges my fandom far more than losses.
