It’s not all fun and cookies, Marcia! Sometimes, when I harvest the backyard garden, I place bags of zucchinis, peppers and tomatoes at my neighbors’ front steps.

I’m told anyone in town can submit a pumpkin. People can do this individually or as a family thing.
(PS: My pumpkins are “pie only” pumpkins, not artwork canvases, but I’ve enjoyed others’ pump-artworks a couple of times there in the past).

Good morning, my friend! Happy Monday! We were invited by friends to their town’s Pumpkin Stroll. We drove out only to learn it was cancelled due to rain. Consolation prize: 1) we still had fun with our friends; 2) last year’s photos I thought you might enjoy! #pumpkins #carving #NewEngland #autumn

This pumpkin showed us all the fairies who lived there.

Minions (characters from the Despicable Me movies) were well represented. Clever use of canning lid rings around the eyes!

Glowing pumpkins, no doubt singing “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine…”

Sue, just about all grown-but-still-green tomatoes can ripen indoors. There are a few tried and true methods but I like either individually wrapping each in a piece of newspaper, or placing in a paper bag with an apple (which gives off ethylene gas to hasten ripening). I’ve done both, both work!🍅🥫
