I'm taking a singing class at my college for free because our music instructor only has two students in it and invited faculty to join in. I get weekly private lessons as well-- such a cool opportunity!

I'm late to the party, but I finally started watching The Fall of the House of Usher and was happily overwhelmed by the sheer amount of Poe references. I was also really happy to see "For Annie" getting its flowers! It's one of my favorite poems of Poe and always felt it needed more love.

I'm still waiting to hear from two other publishers, but one I've had my eye on for a while and feel is perfect for my novel just opened submissions. They have a black metal-like logo and publish some cool horror novels. I hope mine gets picked up by them!

I swear my hair is getting lighter with age where it was getting darker? In the light it looks blonde with redish highlights. Maybe it's the gray hairs coming in to lighten it, haha!

I braved a yard full of ice and almost fell only once to grab this baby from my mailbox. Saunders is one of those writers who's so talented it makes you mad in a good way. I'm devouring Vigil which is easy with no chapters that I've noticed.

Winter storm day 3: that's all sleet in my front yard. It's much better than the expected 1-2 inches of ice, but I wanted snow! Power is still on, luckily.

Winter storm day 2: lots of sleet, no snow, and little to no freezing rain yet, luckily. We have thunder ice in the forecast for this afternoon which will be a fun experience as long as my power stays on!

Does anyone else's workplace have people who admit that they used AI to help them write the speech they are about to give to the entire college or is that just mine? How can you not feel embarrassed admitting that? It's incomprehensible to me.
