I went with one of my adult students today to the Sigal Music Museum in Greenville, SC... They have Queen Charlotte's actual 1761 Kirkman harpsichord, among many other things! It was a wonderful visit with our docent guide, Rachel!
The Eastern Band of Cherokee had their annual powwow in Cherokee, NC, last weekend, and the final day's Grand Entry leads to hours of singing and dancing!
Finally a week of continuing ed has arrived for a teacher in need of a refuel! One of my classes this week is spending 75 minutes a day playing alto recorder as we read through the 6 Schickhardt concertos for 4 alto recorders and continuo. Director Gwyn Roberts is a wealth of contextual information!
