coffee and words this a.m. Coffee is going down quick, the words not so much. Trying to focus on plotting, which is not my strong suit as a writer.

From AP: Hair museum filled with century-old mementos closes its doors, scattering contents around the nation

abject horror, clown-level, seeped into my bones upon learning there is a) a hair museum, b) the hair is now everywhere. HAIR.

FOX: Do you think Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize?

FETTERMAN: If this sticks. I think the whole point of having a Nobel Peace Prize is for ending wars and promoting peace. And if he brings the Ukrainian war to its end, I will be the Democrat leading the committee for his Nobel Prize Peace.

I'm so sorry. I don't get why we call grief a journey, when it's such a circle back/come up short/wrong turn rife way of traveling. Many hugs and much love.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

while the gatekeepers who won't pay for the occasional mental health day or accessible office space will shell out millions after wasted millions on a subpar computer program.

the weirdest, saddest, most unforgivable thing is there are hundreds of thousands of people denied entrance to professions because the fight for reasonable accommodations for diabilities/funding for education is too big a hill to surmount....5/?

Weirdest thing is how gleeful they are schilling AI. Like oh, you're here to learn how to do marketing? How about I tell you instead how a crappy comp program can do it 1/10th as well.

No, wait. Scratch that, that's only the 2nd weirdest thing. 4/?

Time to get relevant! But, hahahaha no. Now It's all about how to use AI to do all that work for you.

Absolutely fucking not, thanks.3/?

Found out a few weeks ago that I'm still eligible to audit classes for free. And I was like, Hot Dog! About half I what I learned in the SM marketing classes was evergreen, useful knowledge, and half is sadly, laughably out of date, mainly due to the rise and fall of various platforms 2/?

Ongoing enshittification.

back details: During the pandemic the state of MN offered free online learning through Coursera. I leapt on, got my IT certificate, a social media marketing cert. I took rando college courses& made it partway through a traditional marketing cert b4 the prog was dropped 1/?

The Secret Service isn't claiming it foiled any plot targeting the UN General Assembly. Just that a big collection of SIMs (probably used for fraud) could have *potentially* disrupted NYC cell service. The SIMs were in a *35 MILE* radius of the UN.

These headlines are all pretty egregiously wrong:

the best thing about Bluesky is as I log in, from the back of my brain, Willie Nelson croons, "Blueskies, smiling at me. Nothing but blue skies, do I see."

I have a new single out (as w.esp). It’s lurching, strange, melancholy but resolute dirge pop: wesp.bandcamp.com/track/its-a-...

I’ll take 3 words to put terror in everyone’s soul for $200, Alex.

This recipe was published in 1970’s Del Monte’s ad for creamed corn.

What is Corn Bologna Boats?
Vintage recipe featuring bologna stuffed corn and black olives and only God knows what else.
