Alright, mates. If you like you can encourage me to finish my second novel by reading the first one, yeah?
Or you can just bully me, I guess? 🤷‍♀️

I’m at that stage of editing where I either have too little memory of the story, and I’m like, “wow, I can’t believe that happens,” or I know the story and scene so well that I have to read it word for word to really understand what’s going on #amediting

I love it when the sunset makes the sky look all Blade Runner-y.

Mistakenly had Rip Off Britain on the TV for 20 seconds and I am now so bloody anxious. No wonder older people think everyone’s trying to “shaft” them.

Something about me, I’m really good at seeing things in clouds.

Mates, what the hell is this? Literally just on a little bridge over the Thames in Deptford

One thing about me, I’ve never been able to open a “childproof” lid first time 🤷‍♀️

How many drafts are enough, do we reckon?

I’m hoping to go no higher than 5 this time.

Here’s a pic of me in Greece with my first novel, The Cage that Wisdom Built, give it a read if you like a female-focussed dystopian adventure story ✌️

Also, if you did like it & wanted to leave a review I’d just love that 📖

Omg, I’m six pages away from finishing this next draft on my novel. Might treat myself and celebrate by just immediately starting the next draft 🫡

Why does everyone keep telling me that Stephen King can write a book in a few months?

I wish, babes, but half of my writing time is actually spent on synonym searches.

Literally only on the second novel of my 4 decades of life, and *that* pace is killing me!

I made these lumpy ceramics ❤️

Hey mates, so have any of y’all read my book, The Cage that Wisdom Built, yet? You can totally tell me if you have, don’t keep it a dirty little secret, tell the class what you thought!

And if you haven’t read it, well, I hope you like homework.

Last night at the Sydney Opera House was pretty epic.

It’s such an iconic building and seeing a live orchestra there was simply incredible.
The musicians are so talented, and I found that I wanted to close my eyes to be immersed in it. Almost brought a tear to my eye if I wasn’t so dead inside.

Breakfast with the most incredible view!

Then back to the room to re-read American Psycho.

I just finished a very good but also very nostalgia-infused romance novel, so I need the counterbalance.

I’m getting way too much satisfaction out of labelling my insect proof travel bags.

Where does the weekend start for you?

Are you a Saturday morning person?

Friday night or, maybe afternoon (?) like me

Thursday night type of personality (?!) - there’s an argument for it

Could you really be that optimistic?
WEDNESDAY LUNCHTIME (!!?)
It’s the time of year where my neighbours do me a kick arse (not necessarily asked for) dance party.

Last summer it was remixed Madonna at midnight, and today it’s started with what can only be described as an ethereal afternoon club rave 👏

Happy weekend #london
