Barra's first coal tit for 2 years has sulphur yellow cheeks & appears to be of the Irish race P.a.hibernicus. I have no experience of this race & no idea what the liklihood is of it reaching Barra. Comments welcome. @birdguides.bsky.social @rayb126.bsky.social #BirdingScotland #RareBirdsUK
Yes not the mega find I was hoping for!
Grey Phalarope courtesy of @kgbirder.bsky.social at Caoles, Vatersay this afternoon. #ukbirding
Hopefully I won't get my car stuck in the sand this time!
Making my way north to Barra stopped in at the Musselburgh Marsh Sandpiper with @aberladybirder.bsky.social White-winged Scoter also offshore still. #ukbirding

A trip up north gave me an opportunity to look in on the Etton-Maxey elegant, leggy Lesser Yellowlegs. Lovely bird. As always thanks to the finder @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social

Yesterday they were mostly in a field that wasn't easily viewable but generally the new workings is best.
Yes lots of birds so definitely worth a visit
Gulls mostly out of view on a quick visit to Cottenham Long Drove this evening but did manage this nice adult Caspian Gull @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
At least 5 Caspian Gulls at Cottenham Long Drove this evening with my first juvs of the season and a returning P:5RT @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social

One of my faves - a juv Mediterranean Gull briefly at Cottenham Long Drove early afternoon. Only my 3rd record of Med Gull there. @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
Having missed the Grafham bird in May it was good of Steve C to find this Spotted Sand at Dernford Res today @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
Hi Thomas. I'm there fairly regularly. Currently the best place is on the new workings. maps.app.goo.gl/CAtzKGC5xWdU... come in from 20p road and park in the obvious pull in to view. Currently c.700 LBBG, a few Caspian and reasonable numbers of YLG. Hopefully you can find me a 2cy Baltic Gull!
