Professionally attached to molecular research in general, astronomy in particular. Writing fiction books with my wife as L.C. Frenzel. 20+ books in print. Vanderbilt class of '62. One of those last remaining "war babies."
I may use "The Old Oak Table" as the title for my memoir if I ever finish one. Some of my friends will laugh, but I plan on surprising them. #BookSky #WritingCommunity #WritersCommunity #Poetry #Booksrme #LifeWriting

Birthplace of Ideas? I believe there are birthplaces which promote sharing great ideas. My friend, Jack Hughes, painted his idea of the oak table that has been incubating ideas in my family and friends for over 130 years. #BookSky #WritingCommunity #WritersCommunity #Poetry #Booksrme #LifeWriting

Something to keep firmly in mind when balancing your "Book of Empathy".

"You can sway a thousand men by appealing to their prejudices quicker than you can convince one man by logic." ~ Robert A. Heinlein

I wondered why this piece of fluff was included in with the same pages as the "rights." Perhaps comic relief? Any golfers out there who seen someone who needs to win at any cost?

H.G. Wells published ten "rights of man" in Paris in 1940. They were taken from a German writing that may have been suppressed by the regime in Germany.

Five of ten "Rights" of man Published in Paris by H.G. Wells in 1940. Translated from a German article that was probably suppressed in Germany (my guess). In today's world I'd like to think that "man" was intended to mean "human being." Too bad we can't ask Wells.

Published April, 1940 in Magazine Digest: "A far greater threat to democracy than a 3rd term is the time-honored expedient of dragging red herrings across the trail to obscure the real issues of a political contest."

A second and quite different style is identified. What to do with it. I'll have to halt because the time is no longer available. #BookSky #Poetry #LifeWriting #WritersCommunity

"The key to creativity fits any lock." I don't know if this originated with me. I offer it to you to recast moments when someone says "Oh, I could never do anything like that." That shy smile you may receive is worth a million dollars. #BookSky #WritersCommunity #Poetry #Booksrme #LifeWriting

There's a whole lot riding on what was started in October, 1957 when the Russians put a tiny satellite in orbit. After that fateful day, it became clear that the survival of humans depended on cooperation, not so much on competition.

This is a sculpture I probably won't get around to. At least I can conceptualize the parts of it with a sense of humor. I wonder if I should do it with the head of an old man. #BookSky #WritingCommunity #WritersCommunity #Poetry #Booksrme #LifeWriting

My title for this painting was "Portrait" as I didn't think it needed further explanation. I wish I had kept this one in my collection.

In 1958, the Nashville I experienced wasn't the clean, beautiful city it is now. It could be unexpectedly violent, deeply corrupt, and ultimately dangerous to the unwary.

The Economist also noted that poetry of a kind that is like a literary utility resembles road surfacing or sewage disposal (widely considered necessary for a civilized society, but no one wants to pay for it. Comments? #BookSky #WritingCommunity #WritersCommunity #Poetry #Booksrme #LifeWriting
