Thanks Owen! We rely on the metadata that data owners can provide. We ask all data owners to provide licence metadata, but as this is a learning curve for many we’ve not turned on the filter for it yet. Many datasets do have licence info attached!

The Data for London Library is the first step in rebuilding the London Datastore. However, we’re doing this in stages, solving one problem at a time. The Library is focused on data discovery across Londons wide ecosystem. We’re not turning off the Datastore in the near future!

In London, healthy life expectancy (HLE) has decreased for females, and there is no significant change for males. However, these values mask significant variation in HLE between and within London’s boroughs.

London’s real GVA is forecast to grow by 1.6% in 2025. Growth is expected to strengthen modestly to 1.7% in 2026 and 1.9% in 2027.

Growth is expected to strengthen modestly to 1.7% in 2026 and 1.9% in 2027, with growth supported by a more stable macroeconomic environment.
Workforce jobs in London are projected to increase by 0.8% in 2025, as the labour market continues to cool following the post-pandemic rebound. Job growth is expected to pick up to 1.0% in 2026 and 1.3% in 2027, supported by strengthening labour demand and a gradual return to trend employment growth.
Household income is expected to rise by 2.6% in 2025, supported by falling inflation and rising wages. Growth is forecast to slow to 1.4% in 2026, with a modest rebound to 1.5% in 2027.

Children’s average happiness score (out of 10) in London has remained relatively stable, although it has decreased slightly since 2017/18.

During the pandemic, recorded crime levels in London reduced significantly, but was followed by year-on-year increases between 2021/22 & 2023/24.
The crime level may now have stabilised, with a 0.6% increase in the last year.
