Normally you'd have to pay £££ for a conference ticket to get @rendle.dev and @davidwhitney.co.uk on the same programme. Or you can come along tomorrow night and see them both for free - our friends @accurx.bsky.social are even providing free drinks and snacks!

Right at the end of the podcast today, @surlydev.bsky.social mentioned they liked how the @ldnug.org logo was based on the London Underground. Which made me go YAY! because I designed it and I love it, and it's nice when people notice stuff. 🤠

So I made a whole page all about it: ldnug.org/assets
The word .net, stylised to look like a section of the iconic London Underground map.

We've (finally!) published the video of Alex Hall's awesome session about sketching code from our meetup at Accurx back in July. Ever wondered what developers can learn from Stravinsky and Raphael? Check out the video here:

The KitKat Pattern is the best description of modular monoliths I’ve ever seen. This is brilliant.
Kit-Kat bars flying through space, demonstrating how to design software to facilitate later decomposition.

Next up tonight it’s @laylacodesit.bsky.social talking about how to build distribution-ready systems using the modular monolith pattern - and how to avoid ending up with the dreaded distributed monolith.
Layla Porter presenting a slide showing… lines and rectangles. Like all software architecture diagrams.

Great turnout for our meetup at Zühlke in Old Street tonight! First up it’s Andrew Poole talking about fluent method chaining. (Also, the pizza tonight is excellent 👌 🍕)
A room full of people watching a presentation A guy in a green shirt talking about code. Next to him is a large screen showing the text “Fluent Method Chaining in C#”

Actually, the coolest thing about #LDNUG being on Bluesky is that, after 22 years, we *finally* have a website. Or rather, a domain name, 'cos websites are hard, yo... but because of Bluesky's domain verification handle thing, Dylan decided that ldnug.org had a nice ring to it... and so here we are.
