Words are one thing, action is another.

The Liberals and Conservatives like to talk about defending workers. But if they really care about protecting workers' rights, will they support my #BillC247 to repeal Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code?

I am deeply troubled by the silence of the Canadian government while Israel illegally arrests and detains Canadian citizens who are involved in these missions.

Canada must demand the safe return of abducted Conscience crew Flotilla members and demand an end to the genocide in Gaza. (2/2)

Israel is violating international humanitarian law by not allowing the Flotilla missions to deliver essential aid, and arresting and detaining individuals who are participating in these humanitarian missions. (1/2)

(3/3) I hope this sign of support by petitioners will urge the government to finally act to resolve this issue.

This week I was honoured to table my constituents’ petition to halt the closure of the RBC Bank Branch on the corner of Sargent and Sherbrook in Winnipeg.

Our community is home to diverse populations including newcomers, Indigenous people, seniors and young families who depend on access (1/3)

Striking and collective bargaining are protected by our Constitution. They are not optional, they are fundamental parts of a democratic society.

Through my #BillC247 I and the @ndp.ca are putting power back where it belongs: with the workers. #UnionStrong

It’s time to return negotiations to the bargaining table, not the back rooms of corporate elites. And it’s time to give the power back to workers.

We must protect free, collective bargaining, and the right to strike. #UnionStrong

Today I stood with @cupescfp.bsky.social and @canadianlabour.bsky.social leaders, flight attendants and other workers presenting my Bill C-247 to remove Section 107 from the Canada Labour Code.

“If the Liberals truly believe in workers’ rights, they must stop siding with corporate interests and commit to repealing Section 107 once and for all. Because workers’ rights are not optional — they are the foundation of a fair and just democracy.”

That's why I and my @ndp.ca colleagues tabled Bill C-247 to remove Section 107 from the Canada Labour Code.

Contact your MP today and tell them to support #BillC247 and uphold workers' rights!

Time and again the Liberals have violated workers' constitutional right to strike by abusing Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code, showing they're with corporations, not workers.

Workers' rights are fundamental to democracy, not a minor inconvenience to be overridden without a second thought.

Thank you to the families, advocates, and survivors for leading this movement year after year. I would like to make a special mention of Bridget Tolley with Sisters in Spirit.

We will not stay silent in the face of this ongoing genocide.

I was honoured to join at the 19th annual Sisters in Spirit vigil on Parliament Hill today honouring survivors, families and communities impacted by this ongoing genocide.

(3/3) This practice disproportionately harms incarcerated Indigenous and Black persons, often worsening pre-existing mental health issues and trauma.

We need real pathways to improve public safety. That’s why I’m lending my full support to Tona’s Law.
