Plans power progress. Unplanned activity is rarely productive - it mimics productivity by crossing out disparate items. Sometimes you need that, but PLAN for a 'clear the decks' window. Even a sketchy plan for the day, made the night before, goes a LONG way!

Readers take away a limited number of ideas between sentence end points, and you don't control which ones. Help ensure readers take your most critical points by embedding them in shorter sentences.

Thinking in terms of 'themes' encourages broad, abstract thinking about evidence. Thinking in terms of 'claims' encourages narrower, more concrete thinking about evidence. Which one do you need right now? It may differ across projects or even phases of projects.

You’re frontline workers. You’re exposed to a lot of viruses and other illnesses. Get vaccines. Register with your doctor. And take care of yourself when you’re sick. Yes - sometimes that means not going to work.
