Proud that my Lib Dem colleagues and I stood up for people’s rights yesterday, defeating Nigel Farage’s attempt to take the UK out of the ECHR.

We’ll keep fighting to ensure Britain remains a country that defends equality, justice, & human rights. More here: www.leedillon.co.uk/post/lib-dem...
Great to attend the Destination EXPO at Newbury College & fantastic to see 1,200+ students, 50+ local businesses and so much ambition. Thanks to everyone involved for helping open doors for our young people! www.leedillon.co.uk/post/opening...
New laws require social housing landlords to fix dangerous homes, a vital step for tenants living in damp, mouldy, unsafe housing.
But the Govt must go further. We need an emergency home upgrade programme to cut bills & keep homes warm. More here: www.leedillon.co.uk/post/safe-wa...

Great to meet campaigners at the recent WASPI drop-in event in Westminster. Over 5,200 women in Newbury were hit by unfair state pension changes. I remain committed to pressing for fair treatment and proper compensation for those affected by pension changes. www.leedillon.co.uk/post/standin...

Today, I presented my Road Traffic (Horse & Rider Safety) Bill.
This Presentation Bill would establish clearer rules for passing horses, incorporate equestrian safety into driving tests, & improve driver education. Change is needed. #HorseSafety

Too many families have been hit with life-changing bills because of simple paperwork errors under the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).

That’s why I’ve submitted an amendment to the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Bill.

This week is #WorldSuicidePreventionWeek.
Earlier this year I visited Samaritans in Newbury and saw first-hand the incredible work volunteers do every single day.
We must keep breaking the stigma around mental health.
If you need support, call 116 123.
It’s that “back to school” time – and back to Westminster too. After a busy summer in West Berkshire, I’m feeling re-energised for the months ahead, from NHS priorities to equestrian road safety, chalk stream protections & more.

Yesterday, racing came to a standstill – but not without purpose.

I’ve been clear in my support for the #AxeTheRacingTax campaign because the future of British racing is on the line. The Government must rethink this plan before irreversible damage is done.

Standing Up for British Racing
Yesterday racing across Britain came to a standstill. Fixtures at Lingfield, Carlisle, Uttoxeter and Kempton were all rescheduled so that the industry could unite in Westminster to make its voice…
