Leeds DPAC urgently calls on other local DPAC groups and DPOs in the UK and internationally to publicly stand against Israel's unrelenting genocide and occupation of Palestine…

…and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, including disabled Palestinians and those being disabled en masse by Israel with the support of the US and European powers, including the UK government.

Forced displacement, forced starvation, and disablement via bombing, sniping, trauma, systematic torture and the constant threat of violence are disability issues that affect the whole of the Palestinian population.

As disabled people and allies facing our own issues as a result of the international attack on human and disability rights, it is imperative that we are concerned with the collective liberation of all peoples, recognising that our struggles are deeply connected.
Leeds DPAC recognises that the violent state repression of the Palestinian solidarity movement is a crackdown on all civil rights, including disabled people's right to protest too.

We understand that Palestine is a Disability Justice issue for the reasons outlined in this article and by many others.

Friends and allies – we call you to speak out for a free Palestine and an end to the persecution of all those speaking up in the UK and across the world.

If UC Bill goes ahead, it will
cause long-term damage to young people's futures.

Impact: More young people trapped in cycles of poverty, illness, and exclusion from the workforce.

Thank you for listening to your constituents and the many different organisations and professional bodies who have raised serious concerns about the bill. Thank you for putting the lives of disabled people, their carers family and community first. (2/2)

Thank you @alexsobel.co.uk and Fabian Hamilton for doing the right thing and signing the amendment to the universal credit and PIP bill which halts the bill until further impact assessments and genuine consultation with disabled people's groups can be made. (1/2)
