In Pierre Boulle's novel of Planet Of The Apes the apes take over the world not in a violent revolution, like in the movies, but humanity had become so lazy and apathetic the apes just pushed them off their sofas and sat down in their place.

That seemed like satire back then.

I'd not heard of Lepa Radić before today - this is the most badass thing I've seen in a long time. She was only 17 at the time of her execution.

It was all pretty spontaneous. No plan. No "Let's do funny superhero comics." The work just evolved naturally. Here's a look back from 2011:

In *that* OBR document it was also revealed the digital ID will cost £1.8bn and that the scheme is currently unfunded.

That is a colossal amount of money for a scheme that promises so little in return.

Imagine where else that could be better spent.

The Government must think again.

Sad to hear that quintessential actor Jack Shepherd has died. It was great to see him recently in one of his major roles as Renfield in Dracula, to character roles in Budgie, Crown Court and countless other films and TV, his talent shone through. Rest in peace dear Jack.

All have my personal recommendation (for whatever that's worth, but honestly I mean it. Everything from Hibernia is an essential purchase for me)
This year has been our busiest year yet- we published three very different books.

Stock of The Editors Cut and The Running Man is now less than thirty of each left, and Lost Treasures is less than 90.
Get these now while you can, because they will sell out. Buy them here now- hiberniacomics.com

Every time Staz drops one of these drawings I think "oh man! someone should hire Staz for a [character] series!"

If I was in charge Staz would have to be chained to his desk.

Not in a kink way.
Starman, convention style commission... almost finished all these pieces now. Ink on paper, A4.

It wasn't that many years ago when I could easily buy comics straight from the US for the same or less than buying from the UK. What a fucking Fantasyland that seems like now.

This post brought to you by Kickstarters and sales in the US rendered untouchable to me thanks to +100-200% shipping
