Doing a little podcast prep and had to Google something regarding the movie; Google AI helpfully offered some suggestions of memorable quotes and interesting facts - both of which were garbled bullshit. The quotes were incomplete or wrong, and half the 'facts' were for a different film altogether.

Off topic - I can't help but read your Halloween name as "Boob-a-doob".

This is not a complaint. Just wanted to say thanks.

Apparently they do it deliberately to create desirability - Now a dumbass like me would ask "what's the point of creating desirability for a Christmas themed item when 99% of the desire will disappear immediately after Christmas?"

Does anyone have a good quality clipping of E36 from Eartha published in the News of the World Sunday magazine 1981-82? As you can see, the one we have is ripped. Many thanks. This is for the Eartha collection featuring art by John M Burns.

I remember seeing Godot on telly as a kid (it was on BBC2 early in the morning, so probably shown as part of the Open University) and I thought I was losing my mind.

Anyone who claims to not be baffled by it is full of shit or insane. You're supposed to be baffled.

A cool charity in Hoxton that teaches & gives disadvantaged kids skills in filmmaking has asked me a question:

Any female animators want to take part in a mentorship programme they run?

They've been doing good work for 25+ years.

Would I be too cynical if I were to suspect we might see a resurgence of "Wacky EU Regulations" news stories as the Rejoin Campaign gains strength...?

I got given virtually the full run up to when it went monthly by a mate who 'grew out of comics' (sucker!) I remember I'd spend whole weekends reading through the various backup strips.

It's only rereading Star Wars Weekly as an adult you realise how weird it is - so many backup strips taken from Marvel older audience targeted B&W magazine line. Which actually made it a brilliant bleak read when I was a kid.

UFO CONNECTION (Marvel Preview #13, 1978): Pyramid power! This dark, claustrophobic strip about a man and his daughter on the run from aliens would have gone unnoticed on these shores, but its appearance as a backup strip in Star Wars Weekly meant that young fans got to enjoy the bleak ending too.

Tomorrow DC is re-releasing the ARKHAM ASYLUM: LIVING HELL Deluxe Edition HC by me & Ryan Sook.

22 years ago THIS was the project that broke me out of kid comics and into the super hero side of the biz (where I dreamed of being). It's full of youthful energy & big swings. This was MY origin story.

This series hit me out the blue back in the day. I'd never heard of Dan Slott - i think it was a Staff Recommendation in Nostalgia & Comics - but it hit me like a bomb, and made Slott a name to look out for.
Ryan Sook's art is fantastic too.

Seconded. Brilliant series.

I never liked Ditko's Spidey as a kid, having mostly seen Romita and Andru's Spidey - but I loved this annual. Those full-page splashes for each villain!

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

When the Right Wing press are attacking the Green Party then I guess, at last, they're seen as a threat. And therefor a serious contender.

He's done it! Nigel's found the solution to the quandary of "What do you do when your walk home at night aligns with a woman you don't know in order to not freak her out?"
