As Asriel about to take a bite, it turns out to be nothing but an hallucination, as he(as Flowey) was actually about to fed a human finger by Frisk. Based on the what if scenario video "what if you "backed off" from Flowey" ending, and also based on fate stay night heaven's feel scene where Sakura was hallucinating, thinking she was eating candy, when reality she was eating humans flesh
