A registered nurse was doing his duty to check on/care for a fellow human who had just been assaulted and ICE executed him on the street for it. That is America today, and for the foreseeable future, unless ICE is fully abolished.

Every time a congressperson is denied access to an ICE facility no one can tell me why they didn’t show up with armed dudes actually loyal to the constitution and sledgehammers because it is the LAW they be granted access.

Just saw The Bone Temple. Ralph Fiennes and Erin Kellyman were fantastic; Jack O’Connell was levels of insane we have come to expect; and the actors who play Spike and Samson just do amazing and heartbreaking things with their faces.

I saw a meteor this morning! First time not in a recurring “shower” so that was very cool. No one was talking about it online or at work, so I doubted myself, but Reddit eventually had a thread.

Just fyi if I am ever confronted by ICE, I will calmly ask for a warrant and then try to leave if not presented with one, and, when they ultimately shoot me in the face anyway, please remember that whatever they said I did was a lie even if there is no video.

The last thing I taught in my US history course was American imperialism in the 19thC. I hope my students were paying attention and have the critical thinking skills to make the connections.

“Frankenstein” is one of my favorite books, and I am absolutely devastated by the pitch perfect performances in the film. Tears for days.

So my honor society cords never came which was literally the only thing I was looking forward to about dragging myself downtown for grad tomorrow…as a former gifted child whose mental illness kept her from glory in high school and undergrad, I really needed the ego boost so badly.

I am officially done with student teaching, and all my paperwork is in for the university AND to the state to get my certification!!!!!!!

For my last class, we were talking about the legacy of US imperialism post-Spanish-American War so naturally I made everyone listen to Bad Bunny’s “Lo Que Le Pasó A Hawaii,” and we reviewed what happened in Hawaii and PR then and now. 🌺🇵🇷

For my last class, we were talking about the legacy of US imperialism post-Spanish-American War so naturally I made everyone listen to Bad Bunny’s “Lo Que Le Pasó A Hawaii,” and we reviewed what happened in Hawaii and PR then and now. 🌺🇵🇷
Just had my last meeting with my university supervisor before graduation, and not only is he recommending me for certification, on the Danielson Framework (the competencies for teaching adapted for student teachers) I received “Exemplary” in every category!
