Don't feel guilty! Going even once per week is still huge. And yes, your body will need at least six months to get accustomed to being ruined. Focus on building the habit first

Make a series of small changes so you don't burn out. Keep it simple to fit into your lifestyle. An easy thing is to add a cup of milk to every meal, and add a scoop of protein powder to one cup of milk. If you can afford some fanciness, get BCAAs so you don't think hard about completing proteins

It'll be normal for nothing to make sense, especially if you've never done a martial art. Just accept the losses, learn, and avoid injury. Avoid fighting other white belts, especially ones who do moves your sensei never taught. They don't know how to control themselves and injure others.

It is fun! Great form of self defense, especially with no punching or kicking, so you don't need to worry about ruining a pretty face. You'll learn how to systematically snap every joint while you fold them into a paper crane, then choke them out and give a good night kiss 😘
