Every year, billions of vehicles worldwide shed an estimated 6 million tonnes of tire fragments. These tiny flakes of plastic, generated by normal driving, account for 28% of microplastics entering the environment globally.

as a one-person example, I will say that I used transcription softwares for several years as I'd convinced myself that going in and fixing the quotes afterwards was easier, then I manually transcribed something again earlier this year and realised it was actually both quicker and easier after all
