Day 58. Thursday's Morning Meditation Painting
02.27.2025.

Can you believe February is almost over with? Spring is just a few weeks away. Yay!

Fortunately, we are experiencing some unusually warm weather, but I'm not complaining.
Day 57. Wednesday Morning Meditation Painting.
I started with an idea and ended up with something completely different.

Day 54. Sunday's Morning Meditation.

I'm looking forward to spring and had to paint some of that gorgeous spring green today.

It's actually Holbein's leaf green. Then I added Cerulean blue and Indathrone blue. Love these colors.
Day 53. Saturday.
For today's Morning Meditation Painting I returned to playing with color. I was also feeling a little salty 🤣

Day 52. I am still working on winter scenes for my morning meditation painting sessions.

I'm about ready to be done with them, though. It's time to think of spring.
Day 51 Morning Meditation Painting.
Two years ago I spent time at a friend's cabin in the woods. It was just me and my dog. We took walks in the snow every morning to a spot that overlooked the Columbia River. This painting is inspired by that view.
Day 50. A little sketch of winter trees for my morning meditation. There is something calming about making lines that become the branches and trunks of trees.
Day 49. Tuesday. Morning Meditation Painting, 6x9"

Today was a very busy day. I taught 3 art classes, which took up most of the day.

Knowing how busy today would be, my morning meditation was another quick study in color and how the pigments reacted on paper and to each other.
Day 48. Monday Morning Meditation Painting

Still painting snow scenes. But there is a break in the weather. Next week is supposed to be much warmer than it has been.
Day 47. Sunday Morning Meditation Painting.

Woke up to more snow on the ground and thinking about trees.

So naturally, I painted a tree in snow.

Thursday's Morning Meditation Painting.

I didn't realize it when I painted this, but I put a heart in the sky.

Sending love to all of you today ❤️
Wednesday Morning Meditation Painting

Dreaming of the beach and warmer times as a winter storm is about to descend upon us.

Monday Morning Meditation Painting.

I just love blue. What about you?
Today's Morning Meditation Painting before I headed off to teach a class in Twin Falls.

What a great day it was to paint!

I woke up in a bad mood this morning.

So, for my morning meditation painting, I felt like painting a storm cloud.

I felt much better after that, and my mood definitely lifted.

Look at these beauties all dressed up and ready to go to the @womenartistsofthewest Homeland Exhibition in Tennessee.

I am loving the frames that were custom-made by a very talented friend. And of course each painting will be for sale during the exhibition!

Which one is your favorite?
I showed how to paint a kingfisher in my weekly Patreon class this week.

This is a belted kingfisher, and the females are the ones who dress up with the belt.
Wednesday, Feb 5 Morning Meditation Painting.

I have been missing my favorite place in the world and had to paint it.
Today's Morning Meditation Painting.

Back to playing with color.
Today's painting is something a little different. I got some photos from the person who will be guiding our painting group in Zimbabwe and wanted to paint this crocodile with my new tube of lunar black.
