Seen on the news this morning: Queen & Broadview is shutting down in October for track work.

Bad news for those of us in the east end of Toronto who want to go anywhere…

‘Winter Morning on Queen East’, 6”x6”, oil on canvas. Sold last June.

I’ll be honest—sometimes I love graffiti. This one from a walk last winter seemed to melt into the snowy landscape.

‘It is Enough to be Seen' found a new home at the Muskoka Arts & Crafts show —but I’ll have more 6x6s soon. Join my list linked above.

I had a live painting session back in June.

I arrived at the gallery, set up my easel, arranged my paints. Waited for inspiration.

Nothing.

So I started this little piece of what was in front of me, the art show.

I think it turned out pretty good. See it at Artwalk in the Square this weekend.

I know, my social media has been collecting dust lately.
Where have I been?
Locked away in my studio, covered in paint, like an art hermit.
But I’ve got a stack of new pieces I’m pretty excited about.

Excited to be participating in the Rosedale Art Fair @rosedalebia next weekend—my first time in the show.
I’ve been hard at work on these new paintings, still drying, and nearly ready to bring with me.

Here is another 6x6” house commission from last year.

This one a perfect example of variant type 1 of classic ‘Toronto’ house.
