Just finished Spawn: The Dark Ages #1 — holy hell, Liam Sharp is unreal.
His story, art & colors are brutal, mythic, and gorgeous. Nobody does atmosphere like him. Absolutely top-shelf work. The first issue sets a dark, compelling tone. Excited to see where it goes.

One of Stan Winston's skills was knowing how to hire the right people. I saw the amazing designs @liamsharp.bsky.social did for Joe Dante's "Small Soldiers"... they were identical to the finished film. Sadly, Stan was also good at taking all the credit, something even Jim Cameron mocked him for!

TOWER OF THE ELEPHANT may be 1 of the most adapted Robert E Howard stories, & capturing the mood of this meeting with Yag-Kosha might be the biggest challenge: to depict the inhuman, but not show a monster. You succeeded wonderfully in capturing the eerie & pitiable being!
