80 year old woman has 2 items in her refrigerator, can not afford electricity. She has to pay her rent.

Trump: We are unable to help you until the government reopens. (Moves to next person)

Woman quietly walks away knowing the president has a new jet, new ballroom and $40 billion to Afghanistan.
Never has "Fighting waste, fraud, and abuse" meant not feeding children and the elderly.
Liquidity over food. Solid plan.

Affordability is the word of the day for republicans.

Same sad overpriced story as yesterday but now its called Affordability.

A memo went out to all republicans this morning. Tell those stupid Americans that things are more affordable.
Trump: grocery prices are going down

Johnson: grocery prices are going up but as a normal course of that industry

Lies, lies, lies
Congress has handed over their right to apprive tarrifs to the President. The Supreme Court questioned this. Isn't this similar to the filibuster situation? Once you've handed over something like this, you have essentially given the democrats, when in power, the power to do the same?

Watch @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social's inspiring victory speech.

This is the future the Democratic Party must embrace.

Turn the volume up.
I wonder how Musk rugged the last election for Trump?
"Without me, he would not have won."
I called and left a message this morning. I did not want him out of the loop.

I guess the plan to have Mike Johnson lie in shutdown press conferences every day for 3 weeks didn’t work out.

"Pope Leo said Scripture emphasizes the question that will be posed at the end of the world:

'How did you receive the foreigner, did you receive him and welcome him, or not? I think there is a deep reflection that needs to be made about what is happening'..."

Pope Leo calls for ‘deep reflection’ about treatment of detained migrants in U.S.
“Many people who have lived for years and years and years, never causing problems, have been deeply affected by what is going on right now,” Chicago-born pope says.

American: "Sir, I have voted for you three times. I am going to the grocery store and my bill keeps going higher and higher. This can not keep happening."

Trump: "Prices are lower."

Silence.....
Mamdani listened. Talked to New Yorkers. Not the rich. The everyday guy/gal who goes to work. Tries to have fun. Struggles.

He did not address their race, religion, color of your skin, your politics.

He is exactly what we need right now. Respect for everyone.
Tell me how Trump identifies with an average American either republican or democrat. He has no clue what our days look like, how our parents are doing as they age, how our kids are growing into adulthood and the challenges they face. He is so far removed from you and me. His issues are not mine.
Do they think we have no problem with our leader showing just total disregard for how an average American lives? Blatantly flaunting baubles, gold, ballrooms, fancy dinners and jets while discounting the truth of high food, gas and utilities costs for the rest of us?

Do they think we are blind?

I think that maybe finally people are truly concluding that Trump lies about everything.

A woman tells him her grocery bill is ridiculous and he tells her prices are down. Who actually buys food at the grocery store? Trump or the woman?
