We’re years in to these collections and, this being the first Summer one I’ve overseen, I really didn’t want to just do a day at the pool/beach again. I wanted something that had those summer beach elements but was entirely different and told a story fans could dive in to. Pirates was too perfect!

Wally owns the tavern and is a traveling merchant! Verosika is a famed mermaid singer who performs there regularly. Wally’s Tavern is the go to dive for pirates and mercenaries and Sallie and Barbie are both hired guns waiting for their next mark.

Something I'd love to say about Helluva shorts! We actually wrote the first 8 shorts BEFORE the amazon deal happened, so these first shorts were all DELIBERATELY experimental and meant to be fun alongside potential bigger releases. Now they have to standalone when they weren't originally meant too.
