My Black book for today is (and excuse the blowing of one’s own trumpet) my own. Because it won the Readers Choice Award at the Diverse Book Awards last night and I’m still feeling v emotional about it! This explores Black Tudor history through time travel and I’m so bloody proud of it!

I read this beautiful #picturebook with my granddaughter last week & we were both enchanted by it. As its based on a true story we were able to find videos online of the elephants enjoying music , it is just wonderful @magiccatpublishing.bsky.social

Oh I do love a dragon & this very funny, informative guide to keeping one as a pet will definitely find a spot in my dragon picture book collection. Sure to bring giggles from any young dragon lover (did you know it's best to adopt dragons young as then their farts don't smell so terrible?!)
