This singular human was more important to me privately, personally, than my parents, to be honest, if by important we might mean something to live for, something to love. I admired her life force, her life choices, her living and being more than any other human on the planet, I think.

I am not much into heroes. The whole concept is a bit suspect to me, in narrative and in life. I lean Le Guin, I suppose. I profoundly understand how leadership qualities in some beings are useful to the group, I just don't think they are more important than other beautiful being qualities.

Meanwhile, things to "do" : you can dive deeper into educating yourself, on resistance, on social justice, but also on empire; lessening ignorance on liberal complicity in empire is as important as fighting fascism. empire is not a trump thing. he’s a tool. empire requires endless war and brutality.
