To the memory of one of the greatest jazz piano players of all time, the mighty McCoy Tyner! He would have been 87 today — but sadly passed March 6, 2020. With John Coltrane’s classic quartet he recorded some of my favorite albums; A Love Supreme, Crescent, Live at Birdland and Village Vanguard.

To the memory of the innovative electric jazz bass player Mr. Jaco Pastorius, born on this day in 1951. I saw Jaco with Weather Report in Oslo in ’76... one of those concert moments you’ll never forget! Very sad when he left his body, aged thirty five.

Sending love and respect to the Grandfather of British Blues☀️Today is his Celestial Birthday —the mighty John Mayall would have been 92. He sadly left his body on July 22, 2024. I’ve been a huge Mayall fan since I was 12 years old, and saw him many times over the years.

To the memory of Mick Moloney — He would have been 81 today ☀️ His extraordinary mandolin and tenor banjo picking, as well as his voice in The Johnstons, was such an inspiration... and still is! Mick sadly left his body in July three years ago, and he is missed by many.
